I don't know what I want.

So I have this terribly groovy new game, StarSIEGE: Event Horizon from Troll Lord Games. As I said in my last post, it's a toolkit, and therefore I can do anything I want with it.

But I don't know what I want.

It's not that I don't have ideas. I have three different settings/ideas (in varying stages of development) that I was working on for Big Eyes, Small Mouth back when I had players for that. (They, like so many others, decided they'd rather go back to D&D 3e. Oh, well.)

In addition, there are a couple of other ideas I've had, ranging from Flash Gordon style pulp/comics adventures to Space Opera to hard SF, to Shadowrun (which is totally doable in SSEH, btw...)

(If I really put my mind to it, I'm sure I could even do a fair representation of a typical medieval fantasy type of game...)

I just don't know which one to start with.

Any suggestions?

Anyone?

Bueller?

Is there anyone who can get one, and only one, idea for a campaign at a time? I've always got at least three, it seems like, and general indecision means usually none of them get done.

I'd say, "Which ones could you get players for?" but that never works for me.

Yeah, I have one player lined up, but that's for an online game. I haven't run an online game since ... well, since I was on a BBS waaaaay back in the day.

Anyway, I'm just gonna have fun with it.

I need to get my hands on this boxed set soon. I like C&C, and StarSiege looks even cooler. I also think this boxed set will be quite superior to C&C's boxed set attempt.

I'm currently in a pretty bland Traveller campaign at the moment, and I just want to get StarSiege and brow-beat everyone into letting me run it and show them what "real" space adventure gaming is like...

I wish you luck with that, Badelaire.

I've been in games that have gone stale, and there's almost nothing worse. (A really bad and/or killer GM, but that's about it...)

StarSiege seems to explode with new possibilities in ways even Traveller never did.

Damn, Doc...that's awesome! One of my favoritest movies ever!

I'd be happy to play in such a game, but I really don't think I'd be up to running one. Not sure why; it's just not my thing.
